School Clubs
At Longshaw Infant School we are pleased to be able to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. These activities are chosen to work alongside our curriculum and to benefit the children's learning, as well as being fun.
Our clubs are led by Teachers and Classroom Practitioners within school. These clubs take place during lunchtimes and after school.
The staff provide a wide variety of extra-curricular activities such as sketch, craft, fitness, board games, digital leaders and debate club.
The lunchtime clubs operate on a drop-in basis. The children choose whether they would like to attend the club which is running that day or alternatively they can choose to go out to play.
Our Sports Coach runs a variety of after-school sports clubs throughout the year including football, dodge ball, hockey and multi-skills. Parents will be notified of when these clubs are running via letters throughout the school year.
Breakfast Club
At Longshaw Infant School we have a Breakfast Club that everyone is welcome to attend.
We open at 8.00am and offer cereals, toast, yogurts, fruit and juice to help your child start their day with a full tummy!
The children can then choose to take part in a variety of different activities either in the Breakfast Club room or in the Early Birds Club.
There is a charge of £1 per day to cover the cost of staffing and food.
Schools Out Holiday Squad
Our after school club runs every day from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Longshaw Infants, offering a safe, friendly, and reliable childcare option for families.
While we are based at Longshaw Infants, we also collect pupils from Longshaw Juniors and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, making the end of the school day simple and stress free for working parents.
Children can enjoy a wide range of fun and engaging activities, including sports, creative play, and optional quiet time for reading or homework. We offer both short stay and long stay sessions, with flexible booking options to suit regular or occasional childcare needs.
A selection of light meals, both hot and cold, is provided daily, along with refreshments.
Spaces are limited, and we warmly welcome new families to try our club with a free one week trial.
