Yearly and Termly Curriculum Plans are produced for each year group.
Please note that due to Covid-19 school closures in 2020 these plans may be adjusted to enable children to catch up with missed learning.
At Longshaw, phonics is taught daily to all children in Reception and Key Stage One. We follow the Red Rose Letters and Sounds systematic, synthetic phonics planning programme.
A Phonics and Early Reading Workshop was carried out in Autumn Term for Parents and Carers. The aim of this workshop was to share information regarding our new Phonics Scheme and to help you understand how we teach your child to read.
