Computing At Longshaw

Intent

Technology has become an integral part of everyday life for our children at Longshaw. It is our intent as a school, to equip them with strong foundational computing knowledge and skills, so that they can be successful within an ever-changing and increasingly digital world. Our Computing curriculum comprises of three strands: Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital literacy. Together, these teach the children about computers, digital systems and programming, how to find and use information online and importantly, online safety. To meet our Computing objectives, the children engage in cross-curricular learning opportunities and have access to a variety of devices.
