Please read below all the exciting things we are going to be doing in Autumn 2.  

Autumn 2

This half term we will be learning all about autumn in our topic 'Into the Woods' as well as learning about different festivals and celebrations.  We will be reading lots of different stories linked to these topics, including: 

Room on the Broom 

It was a Cold Dark Night

Stickman

Oh Christmas Tree

In Maths we are learning… 

1. To sort numbers by amounts.
2. To understand one more and one less than a given number.
3. To understand positional language and use it accurately.
4. To recognise triangles and circles in everyday objects.

In Phonics we are learning… 

1. How to recognise tricky words.
2. To segment words to support our writing.
3. To blend words to support our reading.

Please don’t forget that children’s book bags need to be in school daily and reading records should be signed to show that children are reading at home 5 times a week.

Butterflies have PE on Tuesdays so please ensure your child has their PE kit in. 

Earrings should not be worn for school in line with the uniform policy.
